Somebody will write a report of sorts??? Well no actually. However, it was an excellent weekend with a visitor from Orange County Hash (Clay T) providing the international element.
Trossach's Mid Argyll Weekend - 6 - 8 July
Fancy feeding some midges in the middle of nowhere? This Summers Tayvallich (prn Tay vai ah lloch (House in the Pass)) weekend will be held at: Tayvallich in mid Argyll, near Lochgilphead and Six Miles south of Crinan. (One pub, One Shop, One B and B, One Street, you get the idea) (This is where Trossach's H3 go camping, eat langustine and follow flour)
What do you get for your money ... em not a lot
This is Trossach's traditional summer camp - the campsite costs £6/8 pppn
Agenda Friday night - Drink in local inn (warning "Real Ale" has not made it south of the Canal) Saturday Morning - deal with hang over (Trossachs provide nothing) Saturday Morning - Run in beautiful Knapdale or Dalrida (Admire standing stones and ancient land of Scots) Saturday Lunch - hit a pub and eat many crustaceans Saturday PM - Jellyfish Hurling in local sun kissed, gulf stream warmed, sandy bay (This place is heavy on scenery (and fizzy beer)) Saturday Night - BBQ (weather/insects permitting) followed by pub Sunday - hangover run handily situated for the road back to Glasgow (Castles, Palaces, lochs and mountains - again!)
Trossachs will book the campsite for you, set the runs and book a table for Saturday lunch (all subject to someone remembering)

Directions by Car From Glasgow take A82 (Great Western Road/ Boulevard) to Tarbet (Loch Lomond), Then take the A83 (Signposted Campbeltown) to Lochgilphead Then follow the Canal (towards Crinan) until the Tayvallich junction, follow roadsigns for 6 miles - campsite by Inn.
By Public Transport From Glasgow take the Campbeltown bus to Lochgilphead get Carry Out walk up to Canal Bank Hitch lift on yacht to "Benacher" Basin. Go to Road junction Hitch lift 6 miles (oh there are some buses from Lochgilphead to T but can't remember when)
By Yacht Via Crinan Canal - at Sound of Jura turn South, head round Isle of Danna into Loch Sween Via the Mull of K - have a drink, round the Mull, head into Loch Sween. Off Castle Sween (Ruin conspic) head West. No Public moorings - drop anchor - get rowing
